We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• Match participants into compatible groups
• Send SMS notifications about group matches and experience updates
• Communicate with you about your account
• Ensure the safety and security of the Service

3. Information Sharing

We share your information only in the following circumstances:

• Within groups: your first name and chat messages are shared with your matched group members
• With organizers: organizers can see participant names and question responses for their experiences
• Service providers: we use third-party services (Firebase for authentication, Twilio for SMS) that process data on our behalf
• Legal requirements: when required by law or to protect our rights

4. SMS & Phone Numbers

When you sign up for an experience, you provide your phone number and give explicit consent via a checkbox to receive SMS notifications from bemore.social. Your consent is recorded with a timestamp.

We send up to 3 SMS messages per experience: a signup confirmation, a group match notification, and (if applicable) an unmatch notification. Messages are sent via Twilio, our SMS service provider.

Your phone number is used solely for these transactional SMS notifications. We do not sell, share, or use your phone number for marketing or promotional purposes.

You can opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP to any message from bemore.social. You may also contact us at hello@bemore.social to request removal of your phone number from our records.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Participant data for completed experiences is retained to support group communication features.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Opt out of SMS communications by replying STOP to any message

We use cookies to maintain your authentication session. These are essential cookies required for the Service to function and cannot be disabled.
